"The City of Lake Worth, Florida is a small municipality located in east-central Palm Beach County. We provide Electricity, Water and Sewer to approximately 26,000 customers. We processed a significant number of "mailed" utility payments at our office each month. This task was performed by employees whose primary mission was to provide telephone and walk-in service to our customers. Processing mailed payments sometimes interfered with other important tasks. In June, 2009, the City entered a utility lock-box agreement with Bill2Pay Systems, who now receives and processes all of our "mailed" payments at their Tampa, Florida to Clearwater, Florida facility. The transition from manual in-house payment processing to the Bill2Pay lock-box went surprisingly well. Concerns during implementation were addressed during weekly conference calls, and BIll2Pay's employees were prompt and effective in resolving problems.
